About Us

Seeing a need for quality pet care services in Oregon’s North Coast region, we founded Sniff, Bark, Wag as a way to turn our passion for pets into a service for local residents and visitors alike; because caring for your pet should be a relationship that enhances and enriches you and your pet, not a barrier to meeting your day-to-day needs nor inhibiting your pet from receiving the attention and enrichment they need.

We are a dog-centric duo, recently relocated from Southeast Alaska to, “The Land of Cheese, Trees, and Ocean Breeze.” While we cater to many types of pets, Sniff, Bark, Wag is meant to evoke the curiosity, awareness, and joy that makes dogs our special companions.

Below are some experiences we have encountered that inspired us to take on this venture:

Are you staying at a pet-friendly hotel (or relatives home) and need to attend a wedding, concert, formal dinner, or other event where pets aren’t allowed. We can step-in and keep your pet company right where they are and avoid the logistics of dropping off or picking up your pet while going to and from the venue. Or, we can spend part or all of that time taking your dog to one of the many trails, parks, or beaches. We can also bring your pet(s) to our facility. Since your pet(s) are isolated from other animals during this time, we don’t need the medical or vaccination records that a formal kennel would.

Did Fido get a little too adventurous while out and about, and now they need a bath (and some drying off) before they return to the hotel or campground (or ride back home)? We can come to you and get them squared away, or take them for a few hours and meet you later when everyone has had a chance to recover.

Do you have an established veterinarian in the valley, that you finally got an appointment with, but they’re only available on days that you aren’t? We can take them “over the hill” and back while you are at work, and perhaps even run a few errands for you along the way.

Does your pet mostly do okay, but they just need that one break in the middle of the day? We can provide that “lunchtime” service of letting them out and back in, checking and filling food and water, and picking up any “deposits”.

Has it been a long day, but Fido still needs his walk? We can pick them up for the exercising and exploring they need while you get rested up for tomorrow.

Were you expecting to be home sooner, but now it looks like it will be later? We can carry out your (and their) evening routine so that everyone’s schedule stays intact.
